RWO’s latest success is to support the development of a new multi-million-pound industrial centre on the site of a former North Yorkshire coal mine.
We are providing engineering design services for new infrastructure at the 141-acre Konect rail-connected manufacturing and logistics hub, currently under construction at the former Kellingley Colliery. Once completed, the 1.5 million sq. ft. site will be the only inland facility of its type offering integrated connectivity for businesses via road, rail and water.
The move sees us partnering with Wakefield-based company Peter Duffy Ltd to design the proposed site access and junction improvements and develop plans for a new internal site access road, which will include drainage as well as offsite works to improve the control and storage of surface water.
Rob Hudson, commercial director at Peter Duffy Ltd, said: “RWO continue to be an important strategic partner, adding value to our own operations with critical sector insight, experience and expertise in large scale engineering design work.”
